Today I was named Citizen Of The Year by the local Kiwanis club. I had no idea I was even being considered for this honor. I think this may literally be the first award that I have ever won as an individual. I thought I was just showing up to give a little talk and they surprised me with this amazing award. I’m incredibly grateful and honored.
The Kiwanis club supports a lot of the missions that I am passionate about. They are the largest donor to the robotics club, they give books and dictionaries to children that need them, and they hang flags to celebrate America and our Veterans. (To name a few)
There were some tears shed…
I’m not even a member of the Kiwanis club. To know that these community servants selected me to receive this award was truly amazing. Thank you.
