On Friday I have to give a 30 minute “Ted talk” style talk to the MSU venture summit and I’m struggling coming up with a topic that people would care about. They suggested “from tech to BBQ”. I’m thinking maybe talking about the year or opposite, overcoming depression and grief. I’m really struggling. Attendees are Alumni, Community Members, MSU Staff/Faculty, and Students.
What would you want to hear me talk about? Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
More about the event.
“To give you an overview, you’ll be one of three inspirational entrepreneurs & innovators to speak for a half hour, Ted-Talk style conversation on an entrepreneurial topic of your choosing! These 30-minute sessions offer the chance for you to share your perspectives on a wide array of topics like innovation, startup life, investments, and career paths. In addition, the audience gets the opportunity to hear firsthand about the hard knocks of the entrepreneurship & innovation hustle to maintaining work / student / life balance. Similar to our Innovate State Speaker Series, we anticipate that these are stories of success, stories of failures, and stories of uncommon will.
The inaugural Venture Summit event is estimated to attract 150 – 200 in-person attendees across Michigan State University's campus and the Greater Lansing region, as well as Spartan alumni + friends from across the globe.”
