LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Saddleback Barbecue owners Travis Stoliker and Matt Gillett are paying it forward after seeing the impact of community support during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Travis Stoliker and Matt Gillett donated a 4-H hog to help Coach's Pub & Grill in Lansing survive the pandemic.

"It's just been incredible to see the impact our community can have in helping out the community. That's what led us to wanting to help other restaurants," Travis Stoliker said.

Saddleback BBQ itself benefited from community support during the pandemic. Travis says he's used his 20,000 Facebook followers to help donate thousands of meals during the pandemic.

The act of generosity was part of a broader pattern of community giving that Saddleback BBQ demonstrated throughout the COVID-19 crisis — donating food, helping raise funds for local businesses, and using their platform to support the Lansing community.
