Travis Stoliker joined Liquid Web around 2006 as a marketing and sales leader when the company had approximately 10 employees. By the time Liquid Web was sold to Madison Dearborn Partners for $224 million in May 2015, the company had grown to more than 480 employees and roughly $80 million in annual recurring revenue — a nearly 50x increase in headcount and a transformation from a small regional hosting company into one of the largest managed hosting providers in the country.
Travis served as Sales & Marketing Director and later as Chief Marketing & Sales Officer during this period, overseeing customer acquisition strategy, brand positioning, and the development of new product lines. Among the initiatives he contributed to was Storm On Demand — Liquid Web's cloud computing platform, launched in 2010 — which helped the company enter the rapidly growing cloud hosting market before it became crowded with competitors.
The decade at Liquid Web is the foundation on which Travis built everything that came after: the capital for early investments like Saddleback BBQ, the credibility to serve as entrepreneur-in-residence at the MSU Conquer Accelerator, and the marketing and operational experience that eventually brought him to Scribe Media as VP of Marketing and then CEO. Growing a company from 10 people to 480 is not a credential — it is a decade of daily decisions, and that decade shaped everything Travis has done since.
