  Get real! It’s only a slight alteration to the timeline. The world is 65 million and 4 thousand years old. So there.

  P.S. If you actually read the bible it references the breakup of the single continent , dinosaurs, etc. Kind of cool really.

  So…I’m supposed to believe a dinosaur mummy lasted for 65 million years? How old are the Egyptian mummies? The Bible details an approximate 6,000 years of World history, and that 4,400 years ago there was a BIG flood that rearranged everything on planet earth (& mummified the dinosaurs). This explains the current coal beds & oil fields in Wyoming, etc. The Sinclair gas stations have a dinosaur on there sign because even they recognize where oil comes from! “Moon boots” were worn by the 1960’s astronauts when they landed on the moon because (they thought that) the moon would be covered in “millions of years” of “moon dust layers” …surprise, surprise …they found the moon was not so deeply covered in the space dust, but rather only a few thousand years worth! What about the frozen dinosaurs being found in Alaska & Siberia? What about the frozen mammoths being found with food still frozen in their mouths & stomachs? How does one freeze a mammoth THAT fast? Only a sudden deluge of water (turning to ice on the north & south poles) could explain this! All this would have taken place the same time as the instant burial(mummification) of the others in a warmer climate…Sorry, if you want to spit on Jesus’ face, you’ll have to wait until you meet Him in person…but when that day comes, you’ll probably not get the chance, (or want to) either…kinda like the people & dinousaurs who were instantly buried during THE FLOOD…no time for anything, then…it will be too late! (see 2 Peter 3:3-14)

  The bible was man made. And I am Wiccan anyway. We believe in nature, the earth, The Goddess, etc. Where do you think your Christianity came from anyway? Paganism. Look THAT one up!

  john– people who are not religious know as much about religion as people who are religious know about science. each is ignorant in their own ways. let’s not smack talk here. really the goal shouldn’t be to try to prove that you’re right, the goal should be to find what is true. also, i can’t say that science really spits in jesus’s face. things are offensive if you choose to be offended by them. wwjd? would jesus choose to be offended by what people have found? of course not. if this finding spits in anyone’s face it would be king james. and matt, you’re not supposed to believe anything without proper evidence. but maybe before you go and dismiss this information and evidence, you should at least do some research yourself, outside of the bible. talk to geologists, paleontologists, etc. read books, do your own digging. science doesn’t disprove God, science only reaffirms the miracle that is life. and to the scientists– it couldn’t hurt to pick up the bible, the qu’aran, the torah, etc. to be whole we need to be logical AND spiritual.

  Okay NOW!!! First of all, I do not appreciate your term “spits in the face of Jesus”! Second of all, not all Christians believe that the Earth is so young as 4,000 years. I happen to believe that everything is connected. I don’t understand why scientists and other non-Christian people have such a hard time conceiving that maybe, JUST MAYBE, evolution was God’s way of creation. Maybe neanderthals, etc weren’t human… maybe they were just another one of God’s creations that became extinct just as the dinosaurs did. Why isn’t it possible for the chimpanzee just to be another one of God’s creations that have a lot of similarities to us? The Big Bang DID HAPPEN… this is just the way God did it. Dinosaurs were one of God’s creations. The heavens and the earth were created in 7 days (God’s time, not ours). God is the Alpha and the Omega and we cannot begin to comprehend how He works.

  I just have a lot of pinned up frustration and I can’t get past how some people can be so ignorant. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and believe me, if anyone is accepting of others beliefs, it’s me. I just have a problem with people who speak or say something when they only know or claim to know one-millionth of the whole equation. People shouldn’t be so quick to dismiss others or knock them for what they believe. Just a little FYI, all physicists know that our soul, body, mind, etc is made of energy. They also know that energy never dies. Henceforth, our souls never die, they just change form and leave after our bodies stop working. A soul can exist for eternity, it’s just up to you to decide where that eternity is going to be. Our soul will not exist as we currently know it and this is, why I think, it is so hard for people to conceive what is going to happen when our bodies die physically. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and I do choose to spend my eternity in Heaven. I don’t claim to know how everything works, but I have a little something called “Faith” and I believe that everything has happened, happens, and will happen for a reason. God warns us not to try and figure things out. He says that you need only be concerned about how you are living today because you can be whisked away at any second. The only thing that he asks (concerning the future) is that you seal your destiny by choosing to have faith that Jesus is His son and has died for your sins. How hard is that? I mean really? Is having faith in Jesus going to ruin your life? Is it going to make you unlikeable? Are your limbs going to fall off? Are you going die where you stand if you make this decision? The answer is NO! The truth is that it can never hurt you, it can only make things better. Christians face troubles everyday… in some cases, a Christian life is actually harder; however, this is only for now and we must see the BIG PICTURE. You see, Satan wants us all to disagree and he wants to bring as many souls down with him as he possibly can. Look where Satan’s arrogance got him… do you want the same? I think not!

  why is it that every other human being is so busy trying to prove other human beings wrong with each others belief systems, and why not be fruitful with your own ways of beliefs/living and get the fufillment of being a peaceful, honest, intelligent, thoughtful, considerate human being in your own little world that can coincide with the rest of us taking up this rotting planet of ours?
  yay to huge lizards and people thrilled that it “proves jesus wrong”.
  yay to jesus people and lizards that will never understand omnipotence.

  it’s a hell of a find.
  regardless of belief systems.

  i’d get more concerned if…you know…people started worshipping dinosaurs…

  i mean….some do add snakes to their sermons….

  hmmm.

  whatever happened to enjoying life?…

  I really get livid ,to say at least, when I here all you insane people out there who really beleive in any kind of ORGANIZED religion.It’s 2008 and with all the evedence there is in this world even just in the last 200 yrs. or so how can anyone beleive in anything that has no physical evidence,just written works of people’s ideas and fears, get real world…all the greatest civilizations became impotent to say the least when they let organized relion play their minds as fact,that includes christianity and Islam.The middle east was and has the phycical evidence of being the oldest civilization but just like the 1st evolution of prehistoric man’s migration from Africa their world became frozen in time and never evolved any further.The crusades were supposed to be a great period according to relious texts,when in fact it was one of the bloddiest times of so-called civilized man.To be equaled to the saviagry of the Incas and the Aztecs.And thren there’s the great conquests of the “new” world,Spain under Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand,the Conquistadors slautered innocents by the millions all in the name of “god”…I bet there’s no indication of any of those facts in anything all you freaks of nature try to blame reality on the only real thing there is in any day or age is what you can prove why do you think we evolved this way,believing in relions is a complete waste of time energy and effort ,there’s no such thing as heaven or hell,all we have is what we are in realtion to our world around us and what we make of it and how we as humans evolve!!!!!!Wake up world the whole planet hates each other because of religions!!!!!

  How can the researchers be so certain that the dinosaur is 65 million years old? I mean, seriously…how stupid can anyone be to believe that something can be that old. We shouldn’t believe what these scientists are telling us because in reality, they are human beings too—they aren’t God. God is awesome, and we as human beings can’t even begin to try to figure out what He is up to. Personally, I think that scientists don’t want to accept the Bible that is why they keep saying these creatures are millions of years old. Just because some “big headed” scientist tells you the dinosaur is 65 million years old, doesn’t mean it is. I don’t care how many years they went to school and where they recieved their degrees. Think for yourselves people and don’t be a “dumb sheep!” All we can do is accept God and live our lives for him. In this world, satan will try whatever he can to steel you away from God. Don’t let him do it! Accept Jesus into your life and spend the rest of your life serving him. I’m not saying life will be easier if you do…cuz it won’t…it will be more difficult, but this is what we were put on this earth to do…to serve our Lord Jesus Christ.

  I get really tired of people who talk about the Bible like it’s perfect, and that somehow “God” had any influence in it’s conception. The truth is, the Bible was written by man, to control man. That’s it… how do you make a large group of slaves (at this time the Jews) quit rebelling and asking too many questions and try to change things? you lie to them and tell them there is this guy up in the clouds and he is watching you. He doesn’t believe you should be acting bad and you should follow directions better, because if you do… you get to go up there with him…WHEN YOU DIE. This my friends is the key here. Death, you couldn’t prove it wrong then because you would have to be dead in the first place to see him and “heaven”.

  Now everyone has the right to believe anything they want, but that doesn’t mean it’s right. in the old testament it says that women and children are the same a livestock. This is clearly not right, but people still choose to believe that some higher power such as “God” says it’s cool and he’s perfect sooo it must be true. I believe that to be one of the most offensive things I’ve heard. I know there is not one person that truly thinks this to be the word of a perfect “God”… No, this is the word of man. So if the majority of people choose to believe in magic and fairy tales, so be it, But when a highly intelligent person with a credited education in science tells you they have found a dinosaur or a fossil, and can prove it’s 65 million years old through carbon dating (a very accurate way of finding the exact age of a substance, through the breakdown of carbon) you really should take his/her word for it, unless you can PROVE him/her wrong with facts, concrete evidence, and tests to back up your statements and not just the Bible…….. Then don’t say anything. The majority of the people trying to back up religions are not qualified to make these decisions/statements because they lack the education in these fields to have a say in the argument. When it all comes down to it they have faith and faith alone, or they will fabricate some theory that can’t even be supported by the Bible, just a story they tell themselves to feel like they haven’t wasted their lives on a lie.

  ALL RELIGION IS WRONG AND IT IS TIME PEOPLE GREW UP AND JUST ACCEPTED THAT DEATH IS SCARY AND MAKES MOST OF US UNEASY, BUT THAT IS A PART OF LIFE WE CAN NOT RUN FROM. WHEN YOU’RE DEAD… YOU ARE DEAD, THE END.

  Some of these comments are disturbing, no one is trying to push their faith/beliefs on you so quit criticizing people for having them because you don’t! Chances are you are unhappy because you can’t find anything to believe in and you don’t know what’s true and your to lazy to research things for yourself so you jump all over everyone else for their beliefs. Get real and grow up. You’re scared of dying, and not knowing what’s true and what’s not. Don’t trash talk something you don’t know anything about, pick up the Bible and try to research it yourself maybe you will find some real answers.
